As an environmental scientist passionate about eco-friendly travel, my recent family stay at Tongariro Holiday Park was a delightful experience. The location, just a 13-minute drive from Tongariro National Park, was ideal for our Tongariro Crossing adventure. The friendly hosts not only accommodated our late arrival but also provided detailed guidance for our trek the next day.The 40 spacious accommodations offered everything we needed, including good showers to freshen up after the hike. The property's inclusion of a nice spa pool was a fantastic treat for tired muscles. Being able to book our crossing excursion through the owners made the entire process seamless.We found the holiday park to be exceptionally family-friendly, with the option to partake in activities like ski storage and easy access to Tongariro National Park Whakapapa Visitor Centre and Fishers Track. The owners' commitment to providing a memorable experience shone through, making our stay truly enjoyable. For families seeking a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, Tongariro Holiday Park is a top choice.
